Jim Gurieff

Jim has 25 years experience in small business and has been a tax payer for longer than that. His experience covers most areas of business and management but his speciality is the marketing process from product development through to advertising and promotion. Since 1984 he has focused on the automotive sector building up some successful brands but more importantly going through the slog of dealing with and managing finance and tax from a users point of view.
As a technology fan and early adopter of the web, Jim started working with the internet and web applications in 1998. And, as a small business owner, tax payer and technology fan he felt strongly about the need for something to “make it easy” in the tax and expense management area. Jim is a founder of Xpnsit and a great believer in using technology to make it as simple as possible. After all, it’s your money, we want to help you get it back.

 

Ben Jennings

 Ben is a chartered accountant with over 10 years experience. As an accountant he has worked in a number of small practices both in the city and the country dealing with many issues of personal income deductions and he now has his own practice. His experience also includes contributions to the Institute of Chartered Accountants tax modules including exam preparation. Ben is currently studying for a Master of Taxation (MTax) at Sydney University.
There’s no doubting Ben’s qualification in the accounting and tax area but his other great strength is a history of working at the coal-face in real jobs in a variety of industries. From farm-hand to boilermaker, plumbers assistant, cabinet maker, cleaner and abattoir worker, Ben has a lot of work experience and knows what it's like to be a wage earner paying income tax. Additional experience in commercial accounting along the way rounds out a pretty good skill set to advise on Xpnsit.
